Edie Amelia Sparks is a neat girl with very messy parents.

Edie Amelia doesn't like chaos so when a mysterious illness spreads through Runcible, sending everyone into a panic, it's time for action: Edie Amelia Sparks, nine-year-old detective extrodinaire, sets out to investigate.

With her best friend Cheesy Chompster and Mr Pants, her French bulldog, Edie begins the hunt for a cure.

But first they have to solve a dastardly theft, soothe some distressed alpacas and take flight in a motorised pram.

And the cure may be a lot closer than they think...
